Origin of Green People
Green People was founded by Charlotte Vøhtz in 1997, who was looking for products that could help her 2 year old daughter Sandra with her eczema. She searched for natural products that would be gentle on Sandra's sensitive skin, but found that many so-called natural skincare brands used almost entirely synthetic ingredients. The lack of soft, natural products on the market spurred Charlotte to create her own organic creams and ointments.
Promising never to use harsh ingredients or synthetic chemicals such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), parabens, phthalates, Green People was born to use petrochemicals, alcohol (ethanol) or synthetic fragrances or dyes and never to test on animals.

All three of these certification bodies have very strict rules for the nature and type of ingredients that can be used. Full formulation details must be submitted for approval and annual inspections are carried out to control production and packaging activities.
